Industrial Infrastructure Upgrdation Scheme (IIUS)
The objective of the IIU scheme is
to enhance international competitiveness of the domestic industry by
providing quality infrastructure through public-private partnership
approach in selected functional clusters/locations which have greater
potential to become globally competitive.
Scope
The proposed scheme aims to select
industrial clusters / locations with high growth potential which require
strategic interventions in providing infrastructure.
In Chhattisgarh Industrial Growth
Centres Siltara & Urla in District Raipur, are selected under this
Scheme as identifed Steel Cluster. Administrative Approval of Rs. 54.10 Cr.
is received from GoI.
Special Purpose Vehicle
Chhattisgarh Ispat Bhumi Ltd., Raipur (CIBL) has been formed under
Public-Private Partnership for implementation of the Project.
Govt. of India and Govt. of Chhattigarh have released grant of Rs. 31.76 Cr. and soft loan of Rs. 6 Cr. respectively.
