Lafarge India is a part of the Lafarge Group, the world's leading cement and construction material company.
Lafarge India has a total cement manufacturing capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum.
In Chhattisgarh, Lafarge has two cement manufacturing plants at Sonadih and Arasmeta with a capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum.
Lafarge India plans to invest US$ 70 million for setting 50 MW coal-based captive power plants for two of its units.
It also plans to set up a railway siding for its plant at Sonadih in Chhattisgarh, which will connect it with Bilaspur railway station.
